Relating to the storyboard, it seems like a lot of content to follow in such a short time frame, it may be better to focus on an animal, their experience, and how they've grown since coming to this place. That'll make it a lot more personal and probably more simple to make as well.
I like the effect a lot, leads to. very cartoony friendly feel. It'll be interesting to see it in the final product for sure.
